The Truth About Franchising And What Is To Be Expected From Each Side.

Feb 24

The term franchising concerns a relationship between 2 parties, the franchisee and the franchisor. We will start with the franchisor; they offer the guidance for the organisation, have an identifiable brand name, a considerable supply chain and give ongoing support to the franchisee. The franchisee will find a Franchise For Sale and lay down an initial investment to the franchisor, which will form the root of the partnership. The franchisee will offer expansion, extra profit and greater brand awareness for the franchisor and then make themselves a viable organisation. The franchisee pays for the business model and brand name which has been tried and tested and therefore if developed correctly should be a root for future gain. On top of this the franchisee will pay a particular percentage of their gross income back to the franchisor, this ranges from monthly payments to yearly payments. The initial investment may take numerous months to be recouped back but that differs with business areas.

The Franchise model has increased dramatically over the past 10 years and is now thought of to be one of the most profitable business methods in the world. Latest studies has shown that franchises represent only about a tenth of the entire number of businesses in the world but the market share that they have obtained is nearly a third.

When deciding your Low Cost Franchise look carefully over the agreement as there can be several different versions. The different versions only differ by the amount of participation a franchisee will have in making business decisions, such as advertising and marketing. Some franchises such as a fast food chains have strict regulations in place as to how the organisation is controlled while other franchises give the franchisee more preference to propose other products or services and alter pricing as they see fit.

A Franchise Opportunity can be thought of a bit like a lego set, all the pieces and the instructions are there it’s just up to the franchisee to put them all together and build the organisation. The instructions will contain all of the vital information such as, pricing structure, ways to market the product or service, terms and conditions, contract length, product and service information and any other criteria to do with organising the franchise. Possible franchisees normally go through a training system to ensure that they are fully conscious of their organisation sector and have the necessary tools to take over the franchise and make it a winner. This training is a must for the franchisor, as this will give them a constant flow of possible franchisees operating at the same high level.

You have got to weigh up the initial investment, the monthly or yearly percentage and decide if all theses costs total up for you to buy into the franchise. Is it worth their brand name, their support and the training presented to you? If you can speak to other franchisees that have been part of the same Franchise Opportunity and ask them about the advantages and negatives when working for the franchisor. Ask comprehensive questions such as the amount of business the franchise produces, if the training system is adequate, what are the monthly percentages and how much backing is given to the franchisee. These questions will give you a greater idea of the franchisor and if you are ready to make a commitment and find a Franchise For Sale.

Achieving a Professional Visual Presentation

Feb 23

Displays can be troublesome at the best time when there is a lot riding on the result, so the very last thing you would like to be troubling about is the audio visual part. In this article I’m going to present some basic guidelines that will help you set the room layout so you can achieve the highest quality projection from your presentation.

General Guide-Lines

Viewing

* For optimum viewing, the audience should be seated within:
* +30 degrees of a line perpendicular to the screen’s centre.
* They should be seated no closer then twice the image height.

Note: (If this is not possible perhaps consider multiple viewing options for the audience).

Type of Content

* Entertainment - The last row should be no further than eight times the image height.
* Corporate - The last row should be to six times the image height.
* Critical Applications - The last row should be four times the image height

Setting the Screen

To avoid obstruction of viewing he bottom of the screen should be approximately 4 feet above the floor. If the seating is staggered, or if the floor is raked you can adjust this appropriately. Try to avoid setting the screen to high. The ergonomics associated with snug viewing indicate no viewer should have to rotate their head more than +30 degrees from straight ahead, or lean their head no more than 25degrees from horizontal.

Seating

The look of the seats is important so viewers can gain full sight of the projection. Frequently the staggered seating arrangement is most suitable for most eventualities. Overall they must be in rows, with the minimal unrestricted horizontal clearance between plumb lines from the front of an unoccupied seat to the back of the seat in front. This clearance may alter, but is typically 16 inches ( 400mm ). Aisles must be provided so that there are no more than seven seats between any one seat and an aisle. The entry and exit doors have to be consider when planning the layout of the seating. The layout desires to designed to:

* Allow for easy of enter into the room
* Allow for quick exit in the event of an emergency
* The row contains no more than 100 seats;
* Each doorway serves no more than three rows.
* Aisles must terminate in a cross-aisle.

Front or Rear Projection?

There are a variety of factors that will determine whether front or rear projections are best suited for your shows.

Front Projection

* Front Projection can generally provide a wider viewing-angle than rear projection. It requires: Controlled lighting (ambient light must be kept off the screen to eliminate a reduction in contrast ratio).
* Requires either a projection room at the rear of the theatre, or a platform or mount for the projector(s) out in the theatre. Note that this latter is a potential noise source.
* The projection geometry must be carefully worked out to get the best compromise between image keystoning and blockage of the light path by the audience.
* Must be accessible for maintenance. A projection booth must be dust free (positive pressure preferred), and have adequate ventilation.

Rear Projection

  • Rear projection room must be dust free, and have adequate ventilation.
  • Rear Projection Generally has a narrower viewing-angle than front projection - better for long, narrow rooms.
  • Can be viewed with higher levels of room illumination, and is less immune to “wash out” by ambient lighting.
  • Available in flexible & rigid materials. A rigid screen is more expensive than a front projection screen, and has size restrictions.

To judge whether front or rear projection will augment your presentation, ask yourself ‘What sort of presentation do iwant to give’ and “What is the purpose of the show’. If for instance the presentation is “canned” you can consider either front or rear projection. If a live talker is interacting with the display, rear projection is best so that the speaker can engage with the images without being in the projector’s light path. In addition, the higher allowable room illumination allows for note-taking, etc.

Screen Width

Identify your minimum screen height based on the distance to your farthest viewer and your ceiling height. This figure may be altered based on the application ( e.g. : an entertainment application will need a larger than minimum size screen for impact ).

ADA necessities

Where needed agreements will need to be made for visitors who need access for wheelchairs, and / or who have visible or hearing impairments The accessibility and size of these spaces is outlined as :

A minimum number of aisle seats will be required to have either no aisle-side armrest or an aisle-side armrest that folds up. Certain extra signage may be required. Your sound system will need the addition of a hearing-assisted system. Your emergency systems may need the addition of strobe signals or visual messaging systems. Your video and other visual show systems may need captioning.

Miscellaneous Considerations

Equipment location

Is vital to avoid any damage. This is generally, but not necessarily, found at the projector ( s ). This equipment may include projection controllers, a show controller, video kit, and audio hardware.

Acceptable power supply

remember to provide acceptable electrical power for this hardware and the projector ( s ). Do not forget to allow conduit for speaker cables, control signals, for example. For boardrooms and meeting rooms you will also wish to provide accessible sources ( such as VCR’s and DVD players ).

Aesthetics or Theme

* Does it require the loudspeakers and other equipment be concealed?
* How is the presentation started?
* Automatically,
* Audience-demand,
* Host-demand, and live presenter (may require random-access control or other interactivity).

Whether your display is for the chairman or for amassive corporation, taking a second to plan how you would like to supply the info can make a significant difference to your audience. So take a moment a review what you are desiring to point out, how you want to claim it and how is the best way for your audience to receive it. It could make the difference between wining that new job or losing it.

Useful Guidelines For Accelerating Productivity And Performance

Feb 22

A good pharmaceutical company can be very proud of its overall contribution to the business of healthcare, as it spends much time and effort conceiving, developing and presenting new products to the marketplace. The company can invest huge sums of money and spend many weary hours going through a process of consultation and lobbying and in dealing with the ultimate in bureaucratic red tape. Ultimately, success boils down to the importance of effective implementation at the sales level. At the highest level of a pharmaceutical company, resources should be set aside to engage a pharmaceutical consulting firm, enabling you to focus on implementation and the achievement of meaningful results. These senior executives are busy people and should spend their precious time dealing with the development of their products and associated issues, with pharmaceutical consultants delegated to help with the necessary training, administration and implementation.

One of the primary reasons why a sales team member may fail to consummate a deal with the prospect is due to a lack of understanding of the potential client’s problems, issues and concerns. The financial repercussions of a sale should be almost last on the list, yet it is often the principle concern. There is much competition in the market and sales do not happen just because a product is available. On the contrary, many questions arise and all issues must be dealt with before the front-line professional will be at all ready to even trust the business, let alone engage and move forward. This arena is very delicate, a hard approach to selling will always fail and as such, a sales executive who isn’t very familiar this type of business approach should be specifically counselled by the pharmaceutical consultant.

When interacting with the client, pitching the benefits of the product must await its particular time and place. Due to unwelcome hard sales tactics deployed by old style salespeople, a certain lack of professionalism and the emergence of years of distrust, a degree of hostility can be expected in any potential relationship at a primary stage. This hostility can be difficult to overcome and one of the first tasks of the executive should be to build trust to enable the ratio of effective implementation to improve.

In our society, pharma consulting firms have current practice in the industry and know what it takes to break down the barriers that will certainly be addressed. This will require a focused approach, the training of adequate sales techniques, an understanding of territorial application and time management and, of course, product education, as without all these the sales closure ratio will be poor. Against all these difficulties, margins are still narrow and so the company must ensure that its pharmaceutical sales team is as ready as possible to get out in the market and bring results, with little margin for error.

Motivation is important when it comes to the sales team’s results, but financial remuneration or a convoluted bonus structure should not be primary, rather job dedication and performance satisfaction should be powerful incentives themselves. The sales executive must clearly see that a deal consummation represents the beginning of a two-way and dynamic relationship with a new client and must not view the task ahead as a means of amassing financial gain alone.

Home Based Business Ideas

Feb 21

Lots of home business ideas serve for web promotion, marketing and advertising, and the same proves true for strategy implementation. Some web developers consider that knowledge, skill and the drive to act on these two sets things in motion for making money no matter the field of activity in which you work. To reach a self sufficient level is something everybody aims at particularly when working from home. Business promotion and advertising demand very innovative home based business ideas; thus web activity involves not only writing web content but also choosing relevant keywords for advertisements and responding to email messages from clients.

Knowledge is a must. Home business ideas are irrelevant without skills and work experience. How could one open a small organic farm without proper knowledge of farming and business management. How could you send emails if you don’t know how to operate a computer? Learning just the basics is a mistake many people make. Once they’ve set the business going, superficial web developers consider there is no further point in training. Yet, the actual transformation of home business ideas into real business action involves lots of things and may not be as easy as you suspect.

This means that the real business applications will be different from hopes and dreams. In the planning stage, things tend to look simple, but obstacles come along the way when you set things in motion. Before making any money investment, it is essential to run a feasibility test and see what realistic chances of success your business may have. Base your decisions on solid rock experience rather than on hopes, dreams and estimates. In other words: use your better judgment for really correct decisions.

When it comes to putting home business ideas into practice, a plan will become a must. There are many stages to go through and without knowing what follows next, you will be at a loss or have to stagnate for a while. Talk to professional consultants and find out what you need in terms of good business marketing solutions. Moreover, critical information therefore proves essential for survival in the conditions of tough competition. Normally, people who start home businesses know what they are doing, but there may be some ‘courageous’ people who will just feel like giving it a try. Yet, failure strikes both ways and even more experienced business owners know it.
